Yes, can you believe it! Justin and I drove to Tampa, FL to see George Michael in concert. I bought these tickets as soon as they went on sale. We had a fairly nice weekend. It was a very interesting day to say the least. We woke up early to go to the casino. It took all of my money before lunch, I was not happy by this at all. It rained or else we would have gone to the wonderful beach. It was very hot after it rained. We got dressed, had dinner reservations at the St. Pete Times Forum. We stayed at the Embassy Suites which was within walking distance to the concert. That was wonderful. So we had lots of problems with what kind of camera we could bring if any...but as you can see I managed to take some pretty darn good pictures and yes...a video of FREEDOM!!!!
The concert was supposed to start promptly at 8 and we waited and waited and George didn't come out until 8:40. He did apologize and said that he hadn't been feeling well for the past few days. But he still did a wonderful concert. There was something that stood out for us and we were really scared. Right before intermission, a man right behind us had a seizure. It was a huge blessing that the timing of it was right before the intermission so that everyone could see and he was able to get the attention that he deserved. Thank God he was coherent when he left.
I'm not sure if I'll go that far again to a concert but it made me feel good that I was able to see George Michael and he said this was his second to last concert in the US ever!! So yes, I saw George Michael...who's next...I would love to see Madonna when we go to Vegas in November, let's see how that turns out....
Happy watching!! Careless Whisper is first followed by the finale number of FREEDOM!! I was so worried that he wasn't going to do it because he left twice and I thought for sure he wasn't going to come back.
This is from George coming out for the first time. The song was called "Here I Am." He was singing from somewhere else and then he came from behind this screen. The stage was pretty interesting.
This was George blown up on the screen. I figured this was the only way I could get a nice close up look at him, even though our seats were pretty darn good.

Gotta love the policeman's uniform.
